Just a hair over a year ago I decided that it was time to do something about myself. I really was lost. Recently divorced overweight smoker tired of looking at myself. I stumbled through a few ventures, but nothing really got me excited.
On a whim, I bought my first road bike as a birthday present to myself.
my 1500. she carried my 6'1" frame over 1000 miles.
I didn't ride much initially, in fact it took almost a month to break the 10mi mark on a ride.
Then my brother came up with the idea to do the Tour de Cure, the annual ride to raise money towards the research for the cure of Diabetes, whith which my brother lives. Initially we planned on doing the 30mi ride since neither of us knew what the hell we were doing. Midway through fundraising I realized that it was time for me to set a difficult goal, and decided to do the half century. It was time to get serious.
My brother, the Navigator. The bridge was slightly out.
Still working on sizing
Oh, look, the bridge is still out.
